Moving to Hawaii???
Yes, you can move here, and it may even be
easier than you think.
Most people pack all their belongings, and
then put them in a container. The container is taken to a shipping office, where
it travels by boat and arrives in Hawaii. You can ship a car here by boat too.
Some people prefer to travel light, and
sell most of their things, and start over when they get here. That is an
option if you prefer. Some houses and condos are sold furnished, complete
with bed linens and silverware, so you can just bring your clothes and your
toothbrush.
If you are planning to purchase things
for your home when you arrive, it may help you to know that in Kona we have
Costco, Home Depot, Lowes,Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Macys, as well as furniture
stores, import stores, boutiques, and art galleries. We also have Safeway,
KTA, other grocery stores, a health food store, and a couple of farmers'
markets. And that's just in Kona. You will find even more as you begin to
explore the island.
